The mayor lives on the side of a hill. He is known to have been a jogger and had to have a hip replacement recently. He was going to his car to get something but he was not in it. He was still having problems walking because he had to walk on his tiptoe. He should have been using his walker but thought he'd be ok for that short distance. He couldn't pass their test because he couldn't put one foot in front of the other - especially on a hill. He explained that but was still arrested and kept in jail overnight. The charges have been dropped. Now there's no question about whether the proposition letting the cops and firemen being outsourced to LA County is going to pass. It ain't gonna happen. This guy was a very popular mayor. The citizens are now calling for the cop to be fired. There's flyers all over town his name and picture on it - like a wanted poster. Not a good situation to have the cops and firemen against the citizens of the town. It's getting nasty. Only one of the 6 council members is for the proposition. The city manager was also for it and is the one mostly responsible for letting it get as far as it did and creating all the problems in the city. Of course he got fired and is now suing the city.
