The Oppenheimer that had a short on BXM was the US brokerage house that was bought out this summer by CIBC (Wood Gundy). It's possible there is a family relationship, but I haven't heard of one, and would expect it to have been mentioned previously if one existed. There are many Oppenheimers, one of them central to the creation of the H-bomb.
