Al, > My mother in law died of ovarian cancer...a familial type of cancer. Do you know what helps prevent ovarian cancer?

Well here's your chance to actually address the issue.

Sandra Fluke claimed that Georgetown, which is a Jesuit-run institution, denied claims to pay for her friend's birth control pills, even though her friend got a doctor to evaluate her medical condition.

That in my opinion should indeed be covered by any good health care plan. No religious institution (other than those more wacko than Scientology) would prevent that sort of treatment.

Assuming that Georgetown isn't run by a bunch of said wackos, I find it hard to believe that they would just be insensitive jerks and deny the medically-necessary (and well-documented) treatment just because they're supposedly hard-liners against birth control pills for any use whatsoever. Same with any other religiously-affiliated institution that Sandra Fluke mentioned (but conveniently not by name).

So you tell me:

- Does Sandra Fluke's story hold any water?
- Should that be a justification for government mandates that force the other extreme, namely free contraception to support those who just want active sex lives?
