Sid, My question is has the writer convinced the Clinton administration? There seams a possibility that we will act prematurely and not in our best interest in the climate meeting in Japan in December (two weeks away). If the US does indeed agree to decrease greenhouse gasses what will the impact be on ERC? I would think it would be favorable. ( I in no way believe that the US should place itself at such a significant disadvantage for what seams to be a well intentioned guess but I am not convinced that we are not moving in that direction. I have not been following this issue until recently but it has captured my attention). At a minimum I believe that speculation about the outcome of the meeting will have an impact on certain stock sectors. I am wondering if the drop in the oil drilling stocks is in part due to this speculation.
