Paul, I've been a shareholder and following DIT for a few years now. The CEO is a majority owner (he bought out the founder a couple of years ago) and also a former private equity guy, who has made it a priority to build a strong balance sheet. Trucking is not a great business, but with revenues of $1 billion, small changes in gross margin lead to dramatic fluctuations in earnings. Even with net income of 1% of revenues you are still talking about less than 5x P/E. If you haven't had a chance, take a read through his annual letters and you will recognize a fellow investor. amcon.com Difco
