I think we all know that Romney stepped down in '08 and "got in line" for '12.

you could have said the same thing about Reagan in 1968....

are you saying because a candidate (like reagan and romney) didn't get the nomination at the first attempt, they are somehow 'tainted' and therefore shouldn't run again?

as far as the bundlers go....let's face it....people look at the lay of the land and decide how to place their bets....most put their money on the candidate most likely to win (in their opinion) as you say, have the best opportunity to oust obama........the others (like santorum and gingrich) have 'sugar daddies' like adleson or dore' to fund their campaigns

<edit>

i honestly don't see romney as a 'get in line' pol like bob dole or mc cain....he isn't a washington insider, and frankly i wonder why he is even putting up with all the crap he is having to endure from the right wing of his own party....it tells me he must be some kind of patriot....if i were in his shoes, i think i would be very tempted to just enjoy my life with my lovely wife and family and take advantage of reaping the full rewards of his earned wealth
