The S&P is up about 111% now from its lows, and people either forgot the word RISK or greed has blinded them. I think most are investing because there is really NO other choice right now so they are forced to play the game. The market is so much riskier now than just a few years ago when everyone was running when actually values and potential returns were greatest. Not much is cheap right now coal, NG and select financials are about it IMO everything else is fairly valued or overvalued. I am doing very well this year maybe up close to 30% now, I dont know the exact amount because I dont have access to my desktop CPU until I get a monitor, but it has been a good start and the last 2 days have been wonderful. I would most likely be up 40 or 50% if I did not take my foot of the gas, but I still remember what happened a few years ago and I never want to go there again, so learning not to be greedy. Also, Watsa and Bob R words are still in my head from there last interviews late last year so I am protecting my downside with a good chunk in cash and I even have a few shorts in my portfolio. I am willing to not gain as much when we are in maybe the 7th inning of this rally and clearly nobody is looking @ future headwinds.
