I grew up in Richmond California. Graduated from Richmond Union high school. Look it up. It is like Oakland. I know the poor and the streets and the inner city as well as anyone on the planet. I earned a lot of my way through college playing poker in seamy poker rooms like the Victory club and Joes, in big cities in San Jose. Oaks in Emoryville, San Jose, Hollywood Park, Compton LA! That is why I am a zealot about education and especially free pre school and free public colleges that require no entrance requirements or tests. Education is the only way our for the individual, and society to prosper. There is no other way. A mind that does not learn how to think, can't think. Period.
