The Krug has one of his typical rants today. Here is a question I have that I am open to input on.

nytimes.com

To understand the lies, you first have to understand the truth. How would ObamaRomneycare change American health care?

For most people the answer is, not at all. In particular, those receiving good health benefits from employers would keep them. The act is aimed, instead, at Americans who fall through the cracks, either going without coverage or relying on the miserably malfunctioning individual, “non-group” insurance market.

My understanding is that a corporation who does not provide coverage will be fined $2000. $2000 is far less than the cost of providing health insurance so there will be a huge number of people simply dropped into Obamacare with their employers simply paying the fine and saving money.

PS: This article is a perfect example of why Krugman's dogmatic rants make it impossible to know if what he is saying is correct. He simply has no credibility as an honest broker in a discussion.
