Hi Christine, I can assure you that the racoons only ate the best tasting of the bulbs that you planted. I recall anticipating harvesting, canning, and eating a small crop of "Honey and Cream" sweet corn that I had carefully planted, fertilized, weeded and watered for 3 months. Unfortunately I didn't realize that the racoons were watching all of this from the sidelines. Now I know why they have that smirk on their faces! A troop of them gorged on my corn all night long, but only would accept the best tasting ears. This of course meant peeling and sampling many inferior ears that were slightly immature. I think that they left me 3 ears untouched. That is what you can expect from the 200+ bulbs that you planted.

In the Spring, the rabbits will be looking for tender new growth!
