Steve what do you think of selling at a loss to cover capital gains. I recently have bought stock in three companies I have owned for some time that I feel will never reach what was initially paid. I'm waiting 30 days minimum to sell stock in these companies and take a tax loss before year end. I have lost alot on these stocks but feel there will be a recovery so I can get back something of what I have lost that is why I have bought in at current low levels. Am I missing something or does this strategy make sense to you. I appreciate your level of expertise and where you are coming from on this thread. You are an invaluable contributor. Thanks.
