He beat the rap. And I have no problem with that (since I also beat one back at that time, although I admittedly had more than two shoeboxes full). But I do have a problem with him condemning others to a felony conviction for the same or lesser crimes. (For the record, when I was arrested in '72 for selling marijuana, I walked away -- it depended then, as it does now, on who you know; I know many people then and now who have had felony convictions and had their lives wrecked for essentially the same crime).
