Well the article itself said they were using fluid bearing motors for this drive so I already knew that. Okay, so from the tone of your post I take it you have something against fluid bearing motors????? I really don't know anything about it myself. I just took it a face value that the fluid bearing motor was a technological leap forward. After all the fluid bearing motor is the reason the new drive can spin at 7200rpm instead of about 5400 like the other EIDE drives on the market. So what's wrong with them. Is it something specific or are you just assuming that a new technology possibly has some problems that we don't know about?
