Pretty active site! Well, anyway I'm familiar with both of them.
I like to build databases of all types in my chart service, SuperCharts. I have both lists of companies from both books and check on them occasionally. On all my databases, such as Individual Investors "Magic 25" or Business Week's 200 Fastest Growing Small Companies, or 20 or so others I have, I almost always see the same thing: The majority of the stocks seem to be tanking at any given time and a few select ones are soaring. It always surprises me that almost ALL the seemingly hot, fast-growing stocks aren't doing well. Now if I could just pick the ones that soar. I think it's like the quote "to everything there is a season..." Watch all ot them regularly enough and most will probably have their day.

I guess if you could research a book on hot companies and call it Quantum Companies and they all soared...you could be one heck of a mutual fund manager! Most aggressive managers seem to be hunting for their own list of "Quantum" companies. It only figures that an author will have mixed results as well.

If there's a Quantum Companies III I'll still add a special database. Then, I'll be happy to share my findings with all the well-informed members of this thread.

Nice try, ET. I liked the idea.
