kumar ... welcome back..... I have been trying to make this point also... that the fabs in SEA and the spankin' nu ones in europe are built with huge chunks of govt. money with the goal of securing a toehold in the econony of tommorow... over the past weeks... it has fallen on deaf ears for the most part... the analogy I chose to make is that Fabs are to the beginning of next century what steel mills were to the beginning of the last... a statement that you are a participant in the world economy... ONE REALLY SHOULD LEAVE THE CRUDE, HONESTLY QUITE LUDICROUS (IN RELATION TO SEMI MANU) SCIENCE OF PUREMARKET ECONOMICS AT THE DOOR (sorry in advance for the shout)... this is about power... this expenditure is about strategic defence of industries that are too important for these nations to either abandon or let die thru lack of investment... Yes if Japan collapses AMAT will suffer revenue dislocation.... BUT IF JAPAN COLLAPSES WE WILL ALL SEE RECESSION... it which case my teeth might well be my most valuable asset i own... I chose not to trade on this eventuality right now as I think it is a ways away
