UBNT just had its highest close ever. 4.9m short on 2/29. Now at $28.73, it priced at $15 five months ago and its lowest close was around $17.42 on January 5th. It has never traded below about $17.30, nor above $28.97.

It was at $26.20 on 2/29 when the shorts were tallied. It never traded more than $1 above that till the last two days. My best guess says 750,000 shorts have covered so that leaves more than 4m. However, since lockup ends in another month, it's not a long swing trade. Perhaps one day or two.

I'm hoping for $34.50 which would be a 20% gain. But I got in 1 minute before the close and will take whatever.

Btw, (trying to refresh old trading memories) is Friday when.... options or something expires? Doesn't that tend to keep the market suppressed the week before?
