>>Much as I hate to say this (and I really do hate to say this) E*trade seems much faster than usual today. Got my trades (at market) in about 30sec and the confirms appeared about 30-40 sec after that AND the web site seemed reasonably fast. <<

Are you sure about that? I tried to sell my AMAT calls on friday, the the stock started going to 39+. I never place a market order, so I tried to place limit orders.. Well by the time I entred to sell the JAN 35 calls for 6, the price was 5 3/4.. So I tried to change it and it was a no go.. Finally sold them @ 4 3/4... My next try is going to be sell at a 1/2 point below what the real time quote is showing, maybe then I can get it in by the time the price starts to come down..

One thing I do have to give them credit for.. Later on I placed a call to buy 20 JAN 32 1/2 AMAT calls for 5 1/2 @ 36 1/2, The price started dropping so I tried to change it but instead just ended up placing another order to buy 30 jan 32 1/2 @ 5 3/8.. The price went to 5 1/4 I think before climbing back and I ended up with 20 JAN 32 1/2's for 5 1/2.. I think the people there are getting the picture of what you are trying to do... I am not happy that they can read my mind, I would just prefer the damn site to work a little faster than go through 2-3 point swings by the time I get the order in..
