Don. Here's some questions for your "Christmas Shopping" list...

Encryption Technology

1. Where is the Slice encryption technology heading? There was speculation about a "Cycomm Inside" chip in every cell phone of the future. This leads to three more questions: (a) is the technology capable of miniaturization to a chip per se and if so is this work being done;(b) outside of chip integration into cell phones generally are variations of the Slice or its core technology planned for non-Motorola cell phones eg. Nokia, NEC etc. (c) if licensing of the technology is foreseen are there moves afoot to codevelop enhancements to it as envisaged in questions 1(a) and 1(b).

2. What is Lucent doing with the marketing of the Slice in particular selected marketing groups such as the legal, accounting and finance and medical professions where client confidentiality is integral to the maintenance of revenues. Marketing through professional bodies with a commission to the association for journal advertising is an effective method of marketing in these instances. Did the Privafone office in DC make any progress in this area or prove this concept doesn't work.

3. Why is Lucent or Cycomm not marketing the Slice directly over the Internet to establish, at least, a brand name if not sales. Does the company envisage developing a consumer marketing strategy for the Slice or will it continue to rely on Lucent only.

4. Are there plans for the encryption technology to be integrated into fax/modems, ATMs, or common radio technologies - in particular military and law enforcement voice networks.

5. Is the Slice using 128 bit encryption and are there any impairments to the technology's export out of the US.

6. Part of the agreement with AT&T when Datotek was acquired was access to Bell Labs facilities for further product research and development. Are these facilities being used. In other words what is the ongoing relationship with AT&T/Lucent/Bell Labs and the US government customers taken over by Cycomm through Datotek.

7. Is the Slice technology part of any current bids to provide encryption technology to fixed point wireless (satelite) telephone networks in rural and/or developing countries. There was talk of this at one stage in conjunction with companies such as Motorola.

8. There was an annoncement in relation to testing the Slice against toll fraud. Were the tests carried out or have the development of software based digital signatures superceded the need for encyption to combat toll fraud.

9. Is it envisaged that the encryption technology will be incorporated into computers to allow hardware based encryption for financial transactions over the Web and voice encryption for the emerging internet-telephony networks or have software solutions removed Cycomm from this market.

10. Does Cycomm have a sufficient relationship with Motorola to allow future dealings / product development in projects such as Iridium and to further develop the Slice for other Motorola products such as the StarTac.

11. Who/What are the major competitors to the Slice technology and where in the list of top 5 or 10 does Cycomm fit.

PC Mobile

1. What specific patents give the PC Mobile a technology advantage over its competitors.

2. How many cities in the US are currently testing the PC Mobile and what progress has been made in Europe through Matra or directly via Cycomm out of Canada (International Sales Division). There has been no news.

3. Are the Ericsson and GTE reseller agreements developing into potential contracts and if so is Cycomm having to drive the market for the PC Mobile for these resellers.

4. What is the lead time from contract announcement to shipment for most emergency services contracts for the PC Mobile and can lead times be cut by offering discounted terms or extended warranties service agreements etc.

5. Is the possiblility of majors such as IBM moving into the ruggedized market a concern for PC Mobile and if not how does PC Mobile plan to beat the majors in this market.

6. Are there plans to move some production of the PC Mobile offshore to lower production costs. For example the drop in the Korean Won with South Korea's major electronic manufacturing capabilities has created a major opportunity to boost gross profit percentages for the PC Mobile. Are discussions with LG Electronics moving in this direction.

7. Is the PC Mobile being enhanced up to 200 Mhz capabilities from 486 technology and if so why are these enhancements not announced as they occur. Is it to allow a competitive advantage.

8. Is it envisaged that Cycomm's encryption technology will be incorporated into the PC Mobile to provide data security to law enforcement agencies.

9. Do current contracts for the sale of the PC Mobile contain provision for long-term relationships ie. the continuing supply of technology as it improves or are some of them simply one-off contracts.

10. Is PC Mobile marketing to law enforcment agencies already using laptops but dissatisfied with them or is Cycomm's market only agencies who are new to the technology.

11. Who/What are the current major competitors to the PC Mobile and where does Cycomm fit in the list of the top 5 or 10.

12. Will all operations of Cycomm be consolidated into one location to save costs specifically head office being with management on a day to day basis.

13. Are there any military contracts in the offing for the PC Mobile.

TEMPEST

1. Will Tempest sales recover to previous levels and are there any major contracts that the company is chasing to build some consistency into this division....ie without the PC Mobile is Florida carrying its own weight.

2. Has the goodwill on acquisition of XL Computing been written back to reflect this reduction in current sales only or are there some core problems with this division in the near term.

3. Are military sales envisaged for this division.

GENERAL

1. Have accelerated amortizations and stock writedowns been reflected in the 3Q results as the reason for the lower gross profit percentage or is pricing becoming more competitive.

2. Will XL Canada's profits be offset against the original Canadian Holding company's Canadian tax losses or were these lost on the company's incorporation as a Wyoming corporation and movement into the US.

3. Can shareholders anticipate that no further stock will be issued by way of convertible debentures and that sufficient working capital is present to service current orders.

4. It is anticipated that the Korean convertible debenture holders will convert and hold and if not does the company have a plan to get the share price up in anticipation of their possible selling from February 1998. Are these debenture holders in some way tied in with LG Electronics.

5. When can shareholders expect insiders to increase their holding and what is possibly stopping management from increasing its position now.

6. NASDAQ listing please.

7. When can we expect some analyst work on the stock to hit the market.

8. Are institutions being lined up to pick up the stock when the price improves.

9. What does managment consider to be an adequate float for the company and has any work been done on assessing required market liquidity for the stock.

10. What other listed stocks in Cycomm's industry is Cycomm using as a target benchmark and does the company have any targetted benchmarks it feels it needs to match to be more attractive to institutional investors.

That's all for now...will think of some more...everyone else throw some in too.

Regards,

Rob

PS. The simplest question that any 3 year old would ask is "What's your favorite color?" The answer of course must be "GREEN!"
