In many cases there is very little, and sometimes incorrect, information. After the Dec '94 peso crisis people quite closely connected were amazed to find how out-of-date and how unreliable was the key economic info. I doubt that any part of the world is up to US standards of information flow, and Latin America and Asia are way behind;
