South korea is off 7%. At least Japan is at even :-) I would think that
sooner or later Korea will bounce. They are in big trouble now. 20 billion wont cut it. Word is IMF is getting streched pretty thin too. Havent seen a quote on the won yet,but its probably headed south too. Was 800 not long ago. 1030 some wed. 1140 some thurs (market had to shut down), then came back to 1060 fri after the thought they were getting rescued. Thats some pretty heavy activity.
Regarding Japan (I might as well jump into the fray), current nikki is
16,400 (+400 some). Word is that if it doent hold 14,000 then the japanese start SELLING USA treasuries to prop things up. That could spell D I S A S T E R if it happens Interest rates will go up and the stock market wont like it (understatement). To me it looks like the asian markets are ante-ing things up by who can devalue the quickest. Real touchie situation IMO. Agree/disagree?
