While you think it's just to have fun,
there is a serious purpose to the game and to Silicon Investor.
Pay attention to your account and diversify.

What happened is that the player (acts like he) thinks he invested $50 and placed an order to invest the remaining $50.

But because the account went down, he couldn't do it.

With a total account value, unknown at the time the order was placed, of $96.34 he could no longer put all the remaining cash into one stock.

This time my alert was after the market closed. I often do it in time for a player to correct a problem. You won't wake up until 7 PM or 9 PM Eastern Time. You could be in a casino or on a beach in Boracay.

But the player's response to me added the false word "available" in quotes to justify the order. That's why I called him on it.

You never have this situation when players buy 3 or 4 or 5 positions. Only when they push the limits and buy one stock with $50 and think they can buy another with the other $50. They can't if the first stock has gone down.

Again, the intentional message is pay attention to your account and diversify.
