Iomega Announces OEM Relationship With Canon Computer Systems Inc.

ROY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1996--Iomega Corporation
(NASDAQ:IOMG) today announced that Canon Computer Systems Inc.
plans to incorporate Iomega's 100 MB Zip drive as a standard feature
in two multimedia PCs from its home computer line. Canon is
currently shipping one PC with the internal Zip drive and expects to
ship another model by the end of September.
"Canon has chosen to offer consumers the Zip drive, recognizing
it as the ideal solution for managing the explosion of personal
computer information, including internet files, images, graphics,
back-ups and entertainment applications," said Andy Grolnick, Zip
product line manager for Iomega. "Our relationship with Canon,
coupled with similar relationships with leading PC vendors to include
the Zip drive in PCs, is just the latest step in making the Zip drive
a viable successor to the floppy drive."
Iomega's 100MB Zip drive is currently shipping in Canon's Innova
Media( MT 9350 Multimedia PC, now available at some retail outlets.
Canon intends to ship the Innova Media( MT 9800 Multimedia PC by the
end of September, which will also include the Zip drive as a standard
feature.

traditional floppy to meet all their storage needs," said Tom

storage choice for our new line of home PCs."

capacity of traditional floppy disks, giving consumers unlimited
capacity, increased flexibility, and a built-in back-up system. With
speed fast enough to run applications and multimedia, the Zip drive
brings a new dimension of flexibility to today's versatile PCs.
Iomega's Zip tools software, also included with the drive, makes it
easy for consumers to manage, share and save their information.
