There were constitutionalists. We know that because they implemented the US Constitution.

Today's conservatives support a generally strict interpretation of the constitution, much like the revolutionaries.

Your buddy Mr. Klien made a statement not too long ago advocating that the constitution is an outdated form of government and has no binding power on anything. His view is standard among liberals today.

That's why Obama himself took the liberty to target and assassinate a US citizen; violating his rights to due process.

So, the revolutionaries are more aligned with the values of today's conservatives than today's liberals.
