irresistible drive to divide ourselves into tribes The size of the tribe has increased as barriers to travel and communication have fallen over time. The tribe was once our village, but grew to be our religion or our country. Now our tribe is considered by some to be the entire english speaking world (UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, etc.)....it just keeps growing in size.
