Got up early to watch Chris Hays again today. He is the best. Week after week he has the best minds in the entire world on his show. It was one of the best shows I have ever watched.

He had Steven Pinker, Richard Dawkins and three other people of equal knowledge discussing religion in politics.

One of the observations they made is that Paul Ryan (head of house budget committee) is a self described Randian, makes his staff read Atlas Shrugged, but is also a practising Catholic. Everyone knows those to two philosophies and beliefs are diametrically opposed.

Ryan based his budget on Ayn Rand's philosophy. We all know that flys in the face of Catholic ideology. They showed a clip of a reporter asking him why he did that given he is a Catholic. He ran (literally) away from the question.

I hope people will continue to ask Ryan what he really believes.
