Dan,
ASIS preannounced that earnings would be lower due to 2 factors: 1)they spent lots of money to build infrastructure for future growth and 2)the major contracts with Bell Atlantic and Nynex were put on hold until the merger between the 2 was put in place. ASIS now has this contract, made some strategic acquisitions which are accretive, is poised to grow at 30-50 %, and was upgraded to strong buy by Unterberg, Towbin. I think the company may even exceed earnings projections and they are certainly in a good business area(just look at employment numbers and ASIS can also help with "downsizing"). CEO also said they were negotiating some sizeable new business. Revenue growth for FY98 now put at 50% by Unterberg, Towbin. I'm looking for $14-$15 in ASIS if there is any good news reported. Some tax loss selling is still holding the stock back IMHO.

Karl
