Smartphones with Physical QWERTY Keyboards

Jurgis,

<< OT? >> Not at all.

<< not a single new smartphone model featured a physical QWERTY keyboard ... Totally sucks. ... On screen keyboards are total crap. >>

I hear ya. The world of smartphones today is primarily full face touch with very few Treo/BlackBerry or Communicator style devices w/wo hybrids Touch/QWERTY. It's pretty boring.

<< No candidates for me to upgrade my E71. >>

Not much new anyway. I have several friends using one or t'other of these Symbian S^3 Anna 1+ year old models which were upgrades from either the Symbian E71 or E72 for them ...

The Symbian Anna E7-00

• Specs: developer.nokia.com

The Symbian Anna E6

• Specs: developer.nokia.com

They were both released more than 1 year ago with the original S^3 engine. While both will likely get some elements of the Symbian Belle upgrade, neither will get the full Belle upgrade.

I don't think that much of LG mobile devices -- although I use a small Communicator style LG LGenV2 feature phone with full QWERTY on Verizon day to day and the LG Quantum c900B Touch WinPhone OS 7.5 with sliding QWERTY was interesting but was also released over a year ago. ...
