The police report noted that Zimmerman had a bloody nose and injuries to the back of his head. Paramedics from the fire dept treated him on the scene. One of the witnesses said that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman, pounding away at him. No one saw who initiated the physical confrontation. Zimmerman says he yelled for help, but no one helped. He thought Martin was trying to get his pistol and fired away as quickly as he could. Why did he fire just once?

Martin was 6'0 and 160 lbs according to the police report. That info was probably from his drivers license and a year old since most people get their license around their 16th birthday. Updated info says Martin was 6'3, 140-160 lbs. Zimmerman is 5'9, 250 lbs.

I've done Community Watch a couple of times. The big deal is to be visible. So you put these "Crime Watch" magnetic signs on your car and cruise around the neighborhood with a partner in the car with you. Zimmerman evidently was on full time Community Watch. Most people don't have the cool to do concealed carry. I think it gave Zimmerman a false sense of security.

A trial is needed. Wonder where the idea that Zimmerman ran in front of Martin and blocked his path came from?
