Universal health care and free education.

You regularly propose unlimited free education, citing european countries as examples. I'd like to hear more details on this. In those european countries you admire, there are no private or local universities, all are run directly by the national govt. How would you transition from the current system to a national free system? Do you expect the federal govt to nationalize all existing colleges and universities? If you don't do that are you expecting the govt to pay tuition at independent schools? Who gets to set the tuition levels? If you let the schools set it, with guaranteed federal reimbursement you quickly go to infinite tuition. If you let the govt decide th reimbursement levels, do the schools have any recourse? Can they charge additional fees on top of the govt reimbursement? If Harvard doesn't like the govt set fee can it opt out of the system and continue to operate as a private school? What about foreign students, do they go for free also? Your proposal raises many questions, and the transition from the current system to a free national system seems very difficult. Please show us that you have thought this through and it isn't just a dream.
