CG is a non-programable ASIC. As far as I know it has one port.

You can't upgrade without replacing the chip, and using it in a DSLAM
is inefficient with one port. Good for the Consumer Modem that will require a hardware upgrade.

Vs a TI C6X which will have multiple ports initially, and more in future versions, and is software upgradeable.

The more ports on a chip, the more ports a DSLAM cabinet can handle without increased heat. A primary design goal for Company Office Equipment.
