I think Charles Lindbergh listed some of those complaints as well when he flew across the Atlantic.

The 747 flew both before deregulation and afterwards. Perhaps you think the seats became smaller after deregulation.

Perhaps your point is that if the government regulations were in effect, they would make fat people buy 2 seats. Or, the government would mandate wider seats (2 per row) effectively making every seat first class and equally expensive.

I am still trying to understand the point you are trying to make between deregulation and customer complaints.

Seriously though. With our nation's obesity problems, there appears to be a business opportunity for the "I weigh more than 250 pounds" crowd. I am sure those people will pay more for bigger seats.

I know I am upset when some monster sits next to me and the belly flops over the armrest and into my space.
