From the Scott Walker Campaign:

Today, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is in Milwaukee raising funds for Mayor Tom Barrett. He is, without a doubt, showcasing how his failed leadership coupled with the dangerous policies of Governor Quinn can reverse the positive benefits to society that the Walker Administration has worked so hard to give back to the people of Wisconsin.

Chicago style politics are rearing their head on other campaigns as well. Two-time statewide loser Kathleen Falk is also holding a fundraiser this Friday called “Chicago Stands with Falk.”

Those looking to oust Governor Walker from office seem to look no further than to the failed policies from our neighbors to the south for inspiration.

Politicians like Governor Quinn and Mayor Emanuel will stop at nothing to further their liberal agenda and spread it like cancer throughout our country. Sadly, Mayor Barrett is cut from the same cloth and his policies, if left unchecked, will wreak havoc on our budding economy.

With the impending recall election, the people of Wisconsin are once again faced with a crucial decision. On one hand, there is the prosperous foundation that has been laid by Governor Walker as evidenced by the growing job numbers and economy that Wisconsin has seen in the last year. On the other hand, the liberal ideology that has ruined Illinois’ economic future is a very real possibility in our future if failed leaders like Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett take the reins of power in Madison.

The reforms of Wisconsin and the lack thereof in Illinois, truly showcase the Tale of Two States when it comes to economic recovery.

Wisconsin

Illinois

Eliminated $3.6 Billion deficit without raising taxes

$8.5 Billion in unpaid bills and raised income taxes by 66%

Cut taxes on businesses that invest in Wisconsin

Increased corporate tax rate by 46%

Budget called “credit positive” by Moody’s

Bond rating downgraded to lowest in nation by Moody’s

Public Employee Retirement System fully funded

$83 Billion shortfall for Public Employee Retirement System

Unemployment rate at 3-year low of 6.9%

Unemployment rate higher than the national average at 9.1%

The choice is clear in Wisconsin. The voters resoundingly stood together in November of 2010 to say enough is enough, and we will stand together again on June 5th and to let those with a far left, liberal, tax-and-spend methodology towards governing know that their time has come and passed. We will continue to stand behind Governor Walker and his bold reforms that have put Wisconsin on the track towards prosperity and are moving us forward.

Sincerely,

Ciara Matthews
