We agree, Republicans are more regressive. In my lifetime they started from a more regressive place and have been devolving at a breathtaking pace.
We agree, our voices, without the leverage of large money, probably make no difference.
This conversation began b/c you responded to me saying that a post by me critical of Obama's policies strengthened Republicans. Since then we keep going back and forth about how criticism is, at the same time, harmful and futile. Which is it?
I didn't ask you to protest. I didn't ask you to do anything. If anything, you seem to have been suggesting that I should keep my opinions to myself, which is an ironic position for a thread moderator.

"You can criticize obama all you want, but don't kid yourself, criticizing Obama only strengthens republicans- just as all their internal strife, and internal criticism, strengthens Democrats. The time to criticize Obama (not that it will do a damn thing) is after he gets reelected- if you don't want to help the republicans."
