Last week was my first with Datek, and the prognosis so far is that Etrade has provided much more consistent service in the same period of time. Market volume has been moderate..so what are their excuses? Why are we required to access different servers in order to connect? I am no technical genius, but know that there must be a way to automate the routing of clients to the open servers, without the need for us to search for the open connection. Also, what good is an internet broker if connections can't be established at market open, or times of heavy traffic? Since Datek monitors this thread, I would be interested in some explanations..As an active daytrader, it is important for me to maintain a large balance in one account vs. dividing up my "ammunition" between different brokers. At this point, I have no intention of transferring all my capital to Datek with the spotty service that we have been experiencing...
