Didn't Texas get any oil money, Oklahoma, or any other state. What did they do with their money. Did they save any of it for kids?

Actually they did, although not as much as Alaska. Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma all devote most or all oil and gas revenues to education. Recently U Texas passed Harvard for the largest University endowment, although Harvard passed the hat on Wall St and got the #1 spot back.
