I agree. At the same time, Heiser claims that the hammer and sear have roller bearings for smooth trigger pull, and it allows you to index the trigger just before the firing or disconnect point. They also claim that their new (not yet patented) porting significantly reduces recoil and muzzle flip.

I think the main draw of this pistol is its size and weight. And I suspect that's important for some people, despite the drawbacks.

I checked out the pricing. The aluminum model is listed at $499, and the titanium at $729. It's not yet available, but is expected to be released in early April.

Would you consider it a good buy for a young woman (a friend of ours) to carry in a small purse for personal protection? If not, what would be preferable? She's concerned about the size. I think a smaller caliber gun would be better, even if it is bulkier.
