Yes, Sigs are well made firearms, and what many departments carry. Many Sig models are heavier than the competition, and very solid.
I am sure the Sig 380 is a good pistol. I am not really familiar with it, but I can't see Sig putting out a dud.
I personally like the little Kel Tec P3-AT. 6+1 rounds, weighs in at about 10 oz, empty, and will fit into a shirt pocket, front jeans pocket, cargo pockets, or a back pocket. Also very light and comfortable in an ankle holster. I am on my second one (first one went to a very good friend), and have never had a problem with either. Also own a Kel Tec P-11 9mm, a very compact, virtually pocket sized 9mm pistol that holds 10 + 1. It, too, weighs in at less than a pound.
The market today is very competetive, and there are scads of good concealable carry guns out there. This is due to the growing number of states issuing CCW permits, and the recent awareness of folks that they need to protect themselves, because all the police can do is come and take a report, and try to find the bad guy, if one gets away.
I am glad to see this growth in CCW states. The increase of folks carrying, had resulted in substantial drops in crime statistics. That is good in anyone's books. |
