Education should be free, so this whole student loan shit pisses me off. Bush turned student loans over to the banks who charged 6% and the government backed the loans. Pure give away to the rich!!! they borrowed at 3% and loaned at 6% for nothing!! Kids should be able to work their way through college. Tuitions should be free. They can work to eat or take out some small loans. Student work programs of old were also the correct thing to do.
