That's the point - we can't. The population is almost evenly divided. There is just as much of a chance that the "5 year olds" may remain in charge and take over. We are still left with trying to talk, to educate, and we'll need to get off our butts and do it. Tirelessly and patiently. In a sense, we have an uphill battle. We have a price to pay for having allowed 5 year olds teach 5 year olds. For allowing demoralization of the society to take place. For allowing the media become a politicized wasteland.

Herein lies the problem. If do-gooding is your passion, your raison d'etre, then it comes naturally to be a progressive activist.

If you are a conservative who believes in individualism, the last thing that you want to do is go and meddle in other people's lives. You want to take care of your own business. I would contend that it just doesn't occur to conservatives to be activists until it's much too late.

It's not in our nature to get off our butts and tirelessly and patiently meddle in other people's lives. Once we beat back the hordes, we will want to go back to making our little lives safe and comfortable. Meanwhile, the progressive hordes will be right back at doing what comes naturally to them.
