I am constantly surprised and elated at the number of people and kind of people who are coming to all of these meetings I've been attending.........they are like you and me and our friends. My hubby experienced his first TP meeting last month and he was completely surprised and happy at the caliber of discussion and the ideas that were flowing out of average people. He's not easily impressed, but that meeting really fired him up, and now he's committed to attending more of them + others.

I would highly encourage people to go to at least one TP meeting, but I would give a warning........there are some coordinators who don't do a good job of engaging people and running these meetings. That is what I found at the first few meetings I attended. The person running them was unengaged and distracted by his new company and didn't put any effort into the meetings. The number of people attending dropped way off and people became disinterested. He had to relinquish his role because of a move and me and another lady jumped right in. There were 5 people at his last meeting, there were 42 at our first.

I guess what I'm saying is, if you don't like what you see or hear at a meeting, go to a different meeting or ask if there is any way you can help. I have access to a list of national Tea Party Patriot coordinators and could supply their phone number to anyone.
