Just to clarify, the numbers given at this site are the actual indices, not the futures.

The formula used mainly takes into account the time until the futures contract settles and the time value of money (usually something like the T-bill rate).

The problem with shorting DELL at this point is that it just put in what I consider a really good bottom since the crash 4-5 weeks ago, so I don't see the downside potential being more than about 5 points. Now it would be different if it were still up there trying to push through the 100 level, but the balloon's already been popped. So I'm more inclined to try to play any post-earnings announcement pull-back from the long side and try to catch one of those 4 or 7 point up-days.
