Yep, saw some of that too. I was there from April 77 to July of 80. Loved it! Would catch a bus on Friday afternoon headed for somewhere in the country, and just pick some small town and get off, and stay until Sunday. Only got stranded a couple of times! LOL Got a vehicle later, and went to several different, nice places. Sure did enjoy my time in Korea! If you were there that long, you must speak fluent Korean! One thing about it, there are plenty of opportunities in the States to practice it! LOL Still have to have my Koren food from time to time. Had some Kimchi and fried rice just last night! The only thing missing was the OB Beer!
