Morgan stanley cut estimates for the quarter. $16 million from revenues (which is almost a rounding error) and no change in eps estimates. due to concerns about far east troubles. oracle does a fair chunk of business in Japan - 7.5 % of revenues and 15% total in asia pacific. Analyst noted business tone is pretty strong elsewhere. larger % of salesforce is making quota company now hiring salesforce after a freeze in q1 hiring is easier due to cooled ipo activity taking a penny out of q3 net - not bad news, but not good for those investors with a short term hat on.
