Really? The Korean Cos. hate each other more than the Japanese? I was under the impression that Korea hates Japan for historical reasons, a rather nasty occupation (approx. 1900-1945). Also Japan hates Korea because the U.S. used Koreans (post 1945) as "help" during the U.S. occupation of Japan. Korea also insulted the Japanese during Hirohito's funeral. I am a little surprised that Japan may provide several billion dollars to Korea via the IMF. At least, I wonder if Japan will require some grovelling. It will be interesting to see how Hyundai and Samsung handle their debt problems. S. Korea (Seoul Composite) was down more than 7% last night. Japan was closed for a holiday.
