"On the right, they are showing you the sample after being cut with solvent. It shows a bloom which is indicative of very good porosity. If porosity was low, it would show up like a comet tail, streaming out of the individual grains. This is a key indicator for me that permeability is high (at least for that depth)."

The sample was crushed, so we really don't know for sure of the perm.

I like the fluorescence though in the sample to the left. Very similar to what I see in the Mississippian Ls. reefs around these parts of central Texas, which are mostly a gas drive. Looks like they have a keeper.

I guess their only problem is low gas prices........
