We still need to either cut government by 25% or raise taxes by 25% which side do you come down on?
It sounds like you're on the side of the cutters:

Get the federal government out of many things such as education and farm subsidies and unemployment. If the states want to do that - let them -

But the real problem is federal entitlements: Social Security, Medicare, and Federal Pensions.
Either these get cut significantly or we still need to raise taxes by 20-25% to get to a balance budget.

You can't be Mr. Nice Guy and end up with a balanced budget.
