They don't deliver out in the sticks.

They usually do, even if they may charge more.

And for remote locations the USPS often doesn't directly deliver. I know someone who used to run a contract or village post office (I'm not sure about the distinction between the two) post office. The mail was brought in to the store.

And if it was such a concern you could make the right to compete on first class mail on a commitment to deliver to every address.

Every time you mail a letter you benefit from it's service

And every time I send or receive something through Fed-Ex or UPS I also benefit from the service. That doesn't make them "the commons".
