Tom,

Interesting points but I do not see the 100mhz memory being in large demand right now since the majority of the demand is split between DRAM and SDRAM for socket 7 technology and low end slot 1. The only processor as I understand it they may be able to use 100MHZ memory in the socket 7 config is the AMD K6s...and a newly designed board is required to handle it The TX chipset can not. PENTIUMS (Classic and MMX can not run at 100MHZ.

As far as PENTIUM II slot 1 their 449LX chipset I believe can not handle 100MHZ although the CPUs can. I believe we are looking at mid 98 before demand for 100MHz is noticable. This could give MU plenty of time to obtain those systems.

It will be interesting as you say. I am not an advocate of the PII systems since good socket 7 HX chip set motherboards that overclock at 83MHZ perform almost as well as PII with just a 166MMX or K6...and you can use simm EDO. Bandwidth is certainly important but too many alternatives right now to justify rediculous cost of PII, slot 1 MB and 100MHz SDRAM. IT all seems to be a gimmick to raise the prices on the high end systems.

Good Luck Trading
