It is your opinion and it is subject to any number of alternative or modifying attributes. But I do not wish to quibble even though I believe you may have accidentally fallen into such a mode. I was responding to your assertion: <<Its rare for any of that hostility to amount to a "war on science" by anyone.>> Rare or not--it clearly exists. Even if we accept your statement as an approximation to the myriad meanings of “war against science”, it yet becomes obvious that the Discovery Institute has the stated objectives of opposing science AND taking active steps to undermine it. If you explore the link I included to you, you will easily find the evidence for this. Or you can insist that I pull teeth. I hope your intent is not to argue for the sake of argument because the objectives and the actions of the Discovery Institute over the years are public record. We do not need to go behind their closed boardroom doors to know their motives or their policies. They seek to undermine Science and to replace it with a Christian version of Science.
