No its irresponsible to load even larger taxes on those who are already paying the majority of them and are already paying a lot more as a percentage of their income then other people are paying.

Its wrong because they already pay so much, so it wouldn't be morally right to grab more of their wealth. Its also wrong in a practical sense since raising ordinary income rates on them won't produce much more in income, but it will hurt the economy, and raising investment rates to the higher ordinary income rates (and the even higher rates that Democrats want to move to) would likely lose revenue while hurting the economy even more.
